Dentists from across the United States will be arriving in Las Vegas for a meeting of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology Feb. 14 - 15. The gathering, designed to continue the education of dental professionals in anesthesia and sedation, is one of several held in different regions of the country.
At these meetings, dentists from ADSA’s membership base of approximately 5,000 can meet with their peers, learn about best practices for dental anesthesia and keep up with the latest updates in the field.
Lauren Trotter, a DRE Medical equipment specialist, will be joining the dental professionals in booth 216 to help them find the very best, up-to-date equipment to outfit their procedure rooms.
Lauren is particularly excited to show two of DRE’s most in-demand products, the DRE Integra SP VSO2 Portable Anesthesia Machine and the DRE Waveline Patient Monitor Series.
"Both the VSO2 Anesthesia Machine and the Waveline monitors are great products for any dentist who wants to expand his or her anesthesiology set-up," Lauren said. "They're mobile and user-friendly, so they can be easily integrated into many different procedures."
The DRE Integra SP VSO2 is a small, easily mobile unit that is perfect for procedures requiring anesthesia in a dental office. It is specifically designed to accommodate low flow.
Dr. Marlon Michel, president of M2 Anesthesia based in Orem, Utah, said he uses DRE’s Integra SP VSO2s for mobile anesthesia.
"Over the last 3 years, I have purchased 12 DRE Integra VSO2 machines, and use them at several different anesthetizing locations," Michel said. "When I was looking to buy a mobile anesthesia machine, I required that it be able to deliver N2O, and the DRE Integra VSO2 was the only one that I felt comfortable with that could reliably and safely do so. With DRE's help, we had them all configured in the exact same way, so that any one of the partners can show up in any office, 'plug and play', and within a few minutes be up and working in no time."
The Waveline Touch, one of DRE's Waveline models, is another DRE product that lends itself to mobile maneuvering. This model is also available with dual invasive blood pressures, a battery, built-in recorder and EtCO2 monitoring capabilities – making the Waveline Touch in compliance with the latest capnography standards.
Dr. Stuart Lieblich, of Avon Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, L.L.P., in Avon, Conn., said the Waveline Touch is user-friendly and customizable to his practice’s needs.
"The DRE Waveline Touch is very user friendly and incorporates end tidal CO2 which is now a requirement for sedation and anesthesia outside of the OR settings," Lieblich said. "Our staff picked it up quickly, the touch screen works great and the visibility is outstanding. It is very user customizable (colors of digital readouts, etc). I appreciate the tabular recording of the BP. It's a great unit, and DRE has been outstanding with support."
