Marquette Brand Focus and History

Marquette Medical Systems Inc. provided resting electrocardiography, exercise stress testing, and patient monitoring for adult, fetal, and neonatal patients.

In 1998 GE's Medical Systems unit acquired Marquette to expand offerings in the hospitals market.  At the time Marquette, was the largest US maker of electrocardiography / ekg equipment used to monitor vital signs. Both entities were based in Milwaukee, WS.

Over the years much of the Marquette brand was slowly phased out of the active marketplace. The most notible extension of the line was in software and data analysis.  This software is used in conjunction with several lines of GE ECG technology.
